About the 1PN34 / NSPU:
Such scopes were used by fighters of the soviet army, KGB, GRU of the USSR from the end of 1970 to 2010 in all wars and local conflicts for a given period (Afghanistan, Chechnya even in current conflict they remain populair.

This scope was developed in the mid 80s. And took part in many operations of the USSR and Russia!
Including Afghanistan, the 1-2 Chechen campaign, many events in Russia, and even now in Syria & Ukraine.
NSPU (1PN34) (Unified Modernized Night Sight), is a Soviet night optical scope, designed to increase the efficiency of shooting in natural night illumination for the following weapons:
automatic rifles of the AK family of the H series (AKMN2, AKMSN2, AK74N2, AKS74N2),
VSS Vintorez SVD sniper rifles, (SVDN2),
light machine guns of the RPK family, (RPKN2, RPKSN2, RPK74N2, RPKS74N2),
single machine guns of the PKM family of series H (PKMN2, PKMSN2),
RPG-7N2 (RPG-7DN2) manual anti-tank grenade launcher.
The scope was developed on the basis of the NSPU rifle scope as part of an experimental design program/ The characteristics of the scope allow one to confidently recognize a person’s growth figure at night up to 300 meters and a tank board up to 600 meters.
