Chocolate, marshmallows and “Inspiration” candies have long become favorite and familiar confectionery products for Russians. It was “Inspiration” that became the first domestic chocolate produced in sticks.

The idea to start producing such chocolate in the Soviet Union first came to the Chairman of the Council of Ministers A.N. Kosygin during a visit to France. Upon his return, he instructed Soviet confectioners to start producing chocolate in sticks. The factory “Im. Babaeva”, since at that time she was the leader in the quality of chocolate mass.

Since 1976, the factory began producing a new product that was unusual for Soviet buyers - sets of 10 small dark chocolates. The name of the new product – “Inspiration” – was born at a meeting of the tasting commission.

The experts present at the meeting unanimously agreed that the delicacy turned out to be elegant and incredibly refined. In addition, the convenient format - small chocolate bars in individual packaging - made it especially suitable for sale at official events and in theaters. For the same reason, the packaging design of this brand’s products always strictly places emphasis on Russian art: ballet, architecture and painting.

However, the audience liked the chocolate so much that it was not limited to theaters alone. After some time, the “Inspiration” line was replenished with chocolate with various fillings and flavors, and these days – with marshmallows and sets of candies. Confectionery products of this brand are traditionally considered not only a pleasant and tasty treat, but also an exquisite gift for special occasions.

Legally I must say this is not delicious chocolate for eating as I do not have supermarket permit. So just for collecting! Mmhkkaaaay..
