RD-54 Grade: AFGHANISTAN. USSR VDV Rucksack / Carry rig. HEAVILY USED
Origin: 1983 USSR.
State: Issued, HEAVILY used, repaired.
Grade: Afghanistan and back.
Absolutely by far the smelliest Surp we had in awhile.
But we are a sucker for these early type bags specially used!
Our nose can smell up to 300 smells, this RD-54 gives away 270 of them.
Well used, well repaired and maintained.
Could absolutely tell some stories around the campfire.
Missing it's sapper shovel pouch but overall in workable condition.
RD-54 khaki early VDV carry vest.
Originally given to airborne units for an easy all around vest.
Backpack with straps
Pouch for 2 grenades
Pouch for 2 magazine.
Most buttons and locks are in working order.
Signs or field repairs.
Strong soviet surp odor.
Stains probably are from metal.
Maybe not.
Would probably find dirt from 13 different former countries and DNA of the residence as well.

Loved this setup, it is very interesting, had obvious signs of usage which I love, and even has certain attachments that my previous one didn't such as grenade pouch and magazine pouch. And the old unit patches are very cool, hard to read but one day I will. It even has a name!
