Regulations on the medal
1. The Zhukov Medal is awarded to military personnel and civilian personnel of the Red Army, Navy, NKVD troops, partisans, members of the underground for bravery, fortitude and courage shown in combat with the Nazi invaders, Japanese militarists, and in commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the birth of G.K. Zhukov. The basis for the award is documents confirming direct participation in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 as part of the active army or in hostilities against Japan
2. The Zhukov medal is awarded by decree of the President of the Russian Federation.
3. The Zhukov Medal is presented on behalf of and on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation by the heads of government bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, heads of district and city administrations, military commissars and military commanders.
4. Persons awarded the Order of Zhukov are not awarded the Zhukov Medal. 5. The Zhukov medal is worn on the left side of the chest and is located after the anniversary medal “50 years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.”
Description of the medal

Zhukov medal is made of brass and in the shape of a circle with a diameter of 32 mm. On the front side of the medal is a bust-length relief image of Zhukov. In the upper part there is a relief inscription “Georgy Zhukov”, in the lower part there is a relief image of laurel and oak branches. On the reverse side of the medal in the center are the relief numbers "1896-1996". At the bottom of the medal there is a relief image of laurel and oak branches. The edges of the medal are bordered by a border. Using an eyelet and a ring, the medal is connected to a pentagonal block covered with a silk moire ribbon. Tape width 24 mm. The left half of the ribbon is red. On the right half of the tape there are five longitudinal alternating stripes of equal width: three black and two orange, and along the edges there is one narrow orange stripe 1 mm wide. The medal has no number.
